The second half of September was again dominated by news coming out of Mainland China. The CareVoice, one of China’s largest health InsurTech, has launched their own operating system, CareVoiceOS, after closing an eight-figure Series A funding round in August. We already spoke to Sebastien, the co-founder and CEO of The CareVoice, about this announcement in our latest podcast episode

We continue to see more investments coming out of China. Chinese online InsurTech Duobaoyu raised Series B, led by Yunfeng Capital a VC co-founded by Alibaba’s former chairman Jack Ma. And the rumours of Tencent investing in Indian super FinTech PolicyBazaar.

Apart from China, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has opened applications for its regulatory sandbox from September 15. In Singapore, we have SingLife starting a new chapter by making its unofficial name official and teaming up with US-based VISA to issue debit cards. And Indonesia is in the news as well with another rebranding. Sequis Life has launched Super You by Sequis Online, their new digital insurance brand.
