We are wrapping up August with news from FWD. The group introduces a new health app called omne. Omne is an ecosystem of services in partnership with Dacadoo, Nuralogix, STASH NextGen, Shadow Factory, Koa Health and Imunis.

Another healthtech solution making news this month is Ubie. The Japanese healthcare startup has raised $26.2 million in  Series C funding and among other services offers an AI-powered symptom checker to consumers. In Malaysia, AIA partners with mental healthtech firm ThoughtFull to offer support to its corporate customers. 

On the funding side, Indian InsurTech startup MetaMorphoSys raised $3 million and Digit is filing for a $440 million IPO. Hugh published a data analysis on this IPO comparing it to the likes of Lemonade. Join the TDI Connect Community to read his analysis. 


In Singapore, ex-Singlife CEO Walter de Oude raised $19 million for his new startup Chocolate Finance and Tokio Marine Asia partners on insurtech investing with Arbor Ventures.
